On the evening of January 31, Golden Year 12 (2015), in the joyful atmosphere of the Loving Hut restaurant in Hoa Đăng, Âu Lạc, 230 special guests enjoyed a screening of the Loving the Silent Tears musical DVD.
Attending the event were distinguished Aulacese artists, members of the media, business people and environmental activists, who described the atmosphere as “cozy,” “formal,” and “elegant.”
The guests had a chance to meet Hồ Quỳnh Hương – the Aulacese singer who had the honor of performing in Loving the Silent Tears. When asked about her experiences as a performer in a musical that featured world renowned artists, Hồ Quỳnh Hương humbly said,
“Since the musical’s theme was about love, peace and the longing for inner joy, I was probably chosen as an artist for the event because I’m a vegan.”
The musical also gave her the opportunity to showcase the traditional costumes of Âu Lạc to people around the world. What most surprised Hồ Quỳnh Hương was not the other performers’ talent, creativity and enthusiasm, but the fact that the majority were vegan. The compassionate vegan lifestyle has helped these artists become more gentle, uplifted and successful, and these common benefits led them to participate in the musical. In response to the guests’ enthusiastic requests, Hồ Quỳnh Hương sang the song “Love Me” by Supreme Master Ching Hai.
In addition, the attendees met designer Đức Duy, who traveled with Hồ Quỳnh Hương during the time when she performed in Loving the Silent Tears. Out of a desire to glorify Âulạcese culture, he designed costumes especially for her that were used only in the musical.
Inspired by the screening event, vegetarian singer, musician and music producer Hà Okio also performed his song “Your Heart” in English, which expressed his longing for a peaceful world. From Golden Year 9 (2012) to Golden Year 11 (2014), Hà Okio was the ambassador for Âu Lạc’s Anti-Climate Change Campaign 350.org and Earth Hour. A passion for art, animals, environmental activism and peace motivates this talented singer, and the compassionate vegan diet he follows is a testament to his noble ideals.
Love pervaded the room and united all souls during the performance of “Let’s Love,” which featured Supreme Master Ching Hai’s poem of the same name, set to music by vegan musician Minh Hà. The song was performed by talented young vocalists Thanh Thảo, who is loved by Aulacese youth, and Thái Ngân, a candidate in the X-Factor 2014 competition.
The audience responded to Loving the Silent Tears through endless applause and tears. We were truly proud and touched when the cultural tradition of our beautiful country, Âu Lạc, was vibrantly presented in the musical.
Through the Celestial Arts exhibition that accompanied this special event, participants were also able to enjoy Supreme Master Ching Hai’s exquisity artistic works such as paintings, Longevity Lamps, S.M. Celestial Jewelry and S.M. Celestial Clothes, as well as her uplifting publications in Aulacese. Many guests were interested, and expressed eagerness to buy Her books and poetry collections. To some, it seemed they had been longing for such an event, and their spiritual yearning had finally been satisfied. Feeling the attendees’ earnest desire, our Association members happily offered them some publications.
After the Loving the Silent Tears screening, the guests were invited to enjoy a vegan feast prepared by Loving Hut Hoa Đăng. Many guests were surprised at how delicious the food was, and the special event inspired many to consider following the compassionate vegan lifestyle. Their trust in the benefits of vegan living was affirmed when they saw the talented vegan artists in the musical, and met celebrated vegans of Âu Lạc as well as our Association members.
Feedback from the guests included the following:
“The program was really fantastic,” “The vegan food was very tasty, nutritious and safe for our health,” “We’ll come back,” and “We’ll switch to vegan for peace.”
They then reluctantly left the event with a sense of overwhelming joy.
The special guests also received nicely gift-wrapped Loving the Silent Tears musical DVDs and souvenirs from Loving Hut Hoa Đăng to share with friends and loved ones. It was the first time many of those present had a chance to enjoy a musical of Hollywood caliber in their homeland.
The screening was also warmly received by the Aulacese media. Reports on the presentation appeared in many newspapers. Some guests and members of the media contacted the event staff about ordering the Loving the Silent Tears DVD to introduce to the public.
Through the harmonious event at Loving Hut Hoa Đăng, many souls seeking spiritual fulfillment were awakened, expressed admiration for Supreme Master Ching Hai and desired to learn the precious Quan Yin Method. Indeed, it was an evening filled with love and art!
We wish that many people will transition to the vegan diet to create a peaceful world. May God’s love always shine on the country of Âu Lạc, and may all find their peace.
