The Supreme Master Ching Hai

Conservation Center for Wild Animals in Âu Lạc (Vietnam) or Four Paws Viet, which was established in 2014, is a non-profit organization with the mission to support conservation of wild animals in Âu Lạc (Vietnam). Four Paws Viet is a partner of Four Paws International – a non-governmental organization for animal welfare.
Currently, Four Paws Viet has already successfully rescued and cared for 12 precious bears. The mammals’ health is being restored through rehabilitation and adoption of natural habits in a semi-wild environment. They have received animal welfare treatment at the highest international standard. Besides these compassionate deeds, Four Paws Viet is also developing caring plans for other animals such as campaigning to end the dog and cat meat trade and instead encourage people to love and protect the animals as family members. In the near future, Four Paws Viet will carry out the rescue of another five bears in the Đồng Nai province in Âu Lạc (Vietnam). The project will include educating young people about the bears’ needs and the cruelty and torture of bile farming.
To acknowledge the compassionate hearts and selfless devotion of Four Paws Viet, Supreme Master Ching Hai gracefully sent Her letter full of love and praise along with the “Shining World Compassion Award” and monetary gift of US$10,000 to help their noble efforts.
On February 14, 2019, our Association members arrived at the Bear Sanctuary, which belongs to the Conservation Center of Wild Animals in Âu Lạc (Four Paws Viet), located in Kỳ Phú commune, Nho Quan district, Ninh Bình province. The group brought with them the love and gifts from Supreme Master Ching Hai which were included in the award package. Welcoming us were Ms. Ngô Thị Mai Hương – Director of Organization Four Paws Viet, and the staff of Bear Sanctuary Ninh Bình.
At the award presentation ceremony, Ms. Ngô Thị Mai Hương and the staff were extremely touched and wished to send their sincere thanks to Supreme Master Ching Hai. The Award and loving gifts were very meaningful and a great source of encouragement for the staff of Four Paws Viet. Ms. Mai Hương shared:
“We will pledge to make more efforts to rescue more bears, ensure animal welfare of bears, as well as spreading this compassionate message to more people in the world. We wish that everyone will join with us to build a world in which the people sympathize, understand and respect our co-inhabitants, the animals.”
In addition to the monetary gift, the plaque and the loving letter from Supreme Master Ching Hai, we also brought many copies of Master’s book “The Noble Wilds” to give to all the staff of Four Paws Viet. We hope that everyone will realize the wonderful message from the book and therefore nurture even more love towards our co-inhabitant animals on Earth. The journey ended with the elation of the Four Paws Viet’s staff and our happiness.
We thank our beloved Master for providing this valuable lesson of love. We are also grateful to Her most compassionate and merciful heart. May God’s love be bestowed upon all the beings on Earth. May the light of God bring many good things to our bear friends and all cherished animals on this beautiful Earth!
