Coral Manta, an advanced drowning detection system invented by Israeli-born Mr. Eyal Golan, uses AI (Artificial Intelligence) to detect anyone entering a pool thus alerting the pool owner. It also has a built-in camera which sends an alarm signal and underwater image to a person’s smartphone if somebody in the pool does not move for 15 seconds. Hearing about this marvelous invention, Supreme Master Ching Hai graciously presented Mr. Eyal Golan the “Shining World Invention Award, plus a loving contribution of US$15,000 for this life-saving project.”
On June 17, 2019, five members of the Supreme Master Ching Hai International Association from China and the USA arrived in Binyamina, Israel and visited Mr. Golan in his office. On the office wall, we saw Master’s appreciation letter glowingly displayed. And the award plaque was placed on a table alongside some fruit and snacks to welcome us.
The award was presented to Mr. Golan in front of his company logo, with onlooking staff members applauding after we handed over the appreciation letter, plaque and ceremonial check. Then we proceeded to interview Mr. Golan, mainly covering two topics. One subject was about his drowning detection system – how it originated, the meaning behind its name and technical aspects of their product. Next we discussed Mr Golan’s vegan diet. He became vegan 15 years ago, almost the same day as his daughter, because he realized how much he cared about the well-being of all animals. He also told us that he recently graduated from Law Studies, and hopefully one day he will be able to fight for animal rights with the tools he has learned.
Another interview was carried out with the Head of Products Development, Mr. Oded Wigderson, who explained more technical details of their product. Mr. Wigderson’s daughter also happens to be vegan and she kindly introduced us to a nice vegan restaurant nearby. Our heartfelt thanks to Coral Manta for their warm hospitality. In God’s grace, wish them all success for their future.
