The Supreme Art Exhibition was showcased at the Taiwan Glass Gallery from October 3 to December 27, 2015, in Lukang Township of Changhua County, Formosa.
On the morning of October 7, a lighting ceremony as well as a press conference took place at the Taiwan Glass Gallery to celebrate the beginning of the three-month exhibition of Supreme Art designed by Supreme Master Ching Hai. The grand opening lamp was lit jointly by Ms. Tan Ai-Zhen, a well-known vegetarian artist and an ambassador for animal protection; Mr. Lin Zhao-Sui, CEO of Taiwan Mirror Glass Enterprise Ltd. and his mother and wife; Mr. Chen Wen-Pin, a film director; Mr. Lin Cang-Yu, the winner of Golden Bell Best Director Award; and the Chairman of The Supreme Master Ching Hai International Association. For this event, the first ever vegan fur fashion show in Formosa was also put on stage, advocating for the ideal of beauty without harming animals.
Mr. Lin Zhao-Sui said,
“Partnering with Supreme Master Ching Hai’s Association sets a good example of combining business with art and spirituality. We make a shining, creative team.”
It is especially noteworthy and admirable that during the exhibition, Mr. Lin kindly changed the non-vegetarian food court of the Glass Gallery to serve purely vegetarian/vegan food.
Ms. Tan Ai-Zhen, an animal protector and long-term promoter of vegetarianism, came all the way from Taipei to attend the event, wearing a white Celestial dress designed by Supreme Master Ching Hai. The Mayor of Lukang Township, the Honorable Mr. Huang Zhen-Yan, said in his speech that he felt honored to have the Supreme Art Exhibition come to the Glass Gallery in Lukang.
Supreme Master Ching Hai’s Celestial Fashion Show was once brought to the famous fashion capitals of the world. At this event, the show included three parts: S.M. Celestial Clothes, S.M. Celestial Jewelry and vegan fur fashion. The S.M. Celestial Clothes designed by Master were the first to be modeled on stage, displaying a variety of women’s outfits for the workplace, banquets and leisure. All the garments were elegant, graceful and unique, making a pleasing sight for the audience.
Next, came the S.M. Celestial Jewelry series, which brightened the eyes of onlookers. Supreme Master Ching Hai said when one wears the designs,
“You’ll be reminded of your own greatness; you’ll be reminded of the liberation of Heaven. And that will make you more inspired to learn to practice how to perfect yourself until you become the master of yourself.”
All the models wore S.M. Celestial Jewelry in addition to S.M. Celestial Clothes. Ms. Tan gave praise, saying, “They look so noble and elegant as if they are fairies.” On both sides of the runway, Master’s original, hand-drawn designs were displayed on screen, allowing the guests to see the origins of Her artistic creations.
Lastly came the vegan fur series, which conveyed the concept of “beauty without cruelty.” Ms. Tan said,
“I really admire Supreme Master Ching Hai. She satisfies people’s needs of beauty, and at the same time is protecting the animals with compassion so they can avoid suffering. She designed so many noble, gorgeous, elegant, beautiful, vegan fur clothes that bring no harm to the animals.”
After attending the fashion show, a photographer who used to work in the fashion industry posted on his Facebook,
“From the art exhibition, we can tell Supreme Master Ching Hai is not just a poet, a painter, a musician, but also a clothing and jewelry designer. Some people were touched by Master’s singing, and some felt that Master poems resonated with them. As for me, I thought of Heaven while looking at Master’s S.M. Celestial Clothes. Master’s teaching is not only in words, but also by example, which prove to us that once our inner wisdom is opened, and we are connected with the highest power, we will have unlimited potential and we are omnipotent! Through these things, She encourages us to use our heart and creativity to bring truth, kindness and beauty from Heaven to this world.”
The organizers of the event also invited the Golden Bell Best Director Award winner, Mr. Lin Cang-Yu, who is also a painter and novelist, as well as a winner of the Hualien County Artists Heritage Award, to act as a guide of the Supreme Art for special guests. Mr. Lin cited these sentences from Supreme Master Ching Hai that explained it all,
“If we can find our inner Truth, virtue and beauty again, then the material world will become more meaningful to us and the world will be more beautiful, and we’ll find Truth in this illusionary world. Because we can always track down the real thing by following its shadow.”
After the ceremony, young musicians from Taiwan Cello Association performed world-famous musical pieces on the cello, violin and piano while the special guests tasted delicious vegan food, thus inaugurating the three-month exhibit of Master’s Supreme Art.
