Known as the heavenly pearls scattered on Earth by God, the Penghu archipelago is one of the best vacation destinations for working people to get way from busy city life. In March of 2014, Penghu was declared a formal member of The Most Beautiful Bays in the World Club, an association working to protect the natural heritage in bay areas around the globe.

The staff members of Loving Hut Magong, in Magong City, Penghu, are committed to treating customers as family members. Ingredients are carefully chosen in order to prepare healthy and delicious vegan food. Thus, the restaurant has established a good reputation among customers, and is frequented by tourists for its homemade style meals. In addition, it is a favorite of local businesses. On the first and fifteenth of each month, a total of 200 lunch boxes are ordered. A vegetarian entrepreneur orders about 100 lunch boxes for his employees, and some teachers and shop owners also order, further promoting the vegan diet to protect the planet and her inhabitants. The owner of Loving Hut Magong said, “I feel so joyful, so blissful to be able to do the right thing at my job. I am hoping to continue to make enjoying plant-based food convenient for vegans and Earth-loving people!”

Loving Hut Paradise Island Vegan Bed and Breakfast is another special destination for tourists in Penghu. Surrounded by delightful flowers and a picturesque garden, the over 100-Ping (3,558 square feet) European-style building features a gorgeous grand hall and a graceful dining room.

With plentiful sunshine, a green landscape and non-GMO food, the Bed and Breakfast also practices the principle of saving energy and reducing carbon emissions. For example, it has installed solar-powered water heaters, and offers electric motorcycle rentals for the guests. Using pure plant-based ingredients that show respect for life, the Bed and Breakfast prepares delicious vegan cuisine so that the guests can experience the elevating energy that purifies the body, mind and spirit while touring the island.

Penghu Daily News covered the exciting grand opening of the Bed and Breakfast in April, Golden Year 11 (2014). Vegelife magazine also did a special interview introducing this elegant lodging establishment. It is the hope of the staff of Loving Hut Paradise Island Vegan Bed and Breakfast that it will become another attraction adding to the pride of beautiful Penghu, making it an island of low carbon emission as well as a place of love and peace.

A couple tourists from Singapore commented that the vegan meals they had at the Bed and Breakfast were the best ones in their whole life. A young lady from Formosa said that if there were such healthy, eco-friendly and delicious vegan options available every day, she would be happy to switch to the vegan diet. There was a young couple who packed vegan lunch boxes prepared by the Bed and Breakfast when they traveled to the offshore islands, because the husband is vegetarian. After eating the pure and fresh vegan food, the wife said she felt light in the body and joy in the heart, so she decided to try the vegan diet when she went home. There are many touching stories from guests such as these, which helped the staff at the Bed and Breakfast realize that they could contribute to the future of the Earth by serving others with sincerity, love and respect.
