Arnold Schwarzenegger Says That Not Eating Meat Is a Good Idea to Protect the Planet

Arnold Schwarzenegger recommends a meat-free diet to reverse global warming. During COP21, the United Nations Climate Change Conference in Paris, France in December 2015, the former Governor of California, Austrian-American actor, and seven-time winner of Mr. Olympia, a prestigious bodybuilding contest, encouraged actions that would have more immediate effect on reducing climate change.

In an interview with the BBC, Mr. Schwarzenegger also emphasized the role livestock plays in climate change, and suggested stopping eating meat to reduce the impacts of global warming. When asked how people could eat a diet with no meat or dairy and have a body like he did in the Terminator movie series, he told the BBC News “You can get your protein source many different ways. I have seen many bodybuilders and (weight) lifters that are vegetarians.”

Bravo, Mr. Schwarzenegger, for your strong advocacy of taking actions that have an immediate effect on climate change, in particular for encouraging people to follow the Earth-protecting and life-saving plant-based diet.
