Supreme Master Ching Hai Congratulates the President of Bolivia on His Re-Election

2014.10.14-Congrats---Bolivian-President

Supreme Master Ching Hai sent Her warm congratulations to Bolivian President Evo Morales on the occasion of his re-election to a third term of office on October 12, Golden Year 11 (2014).

President Morales is a member of the Aymara indigenous group and became the first indigenous president of Bolivia upon his election in 2005. His Excellency has spent the past decade leading a political transformation to improve the well-being of all Bolivians through a combination of economic growth and public policy. He has directed revenue from the nation’s natural resources to be used to improve the lives of the least fortunate by enshrining the values and social organization concepts of the indigenous Andean people in a new constitution. His policies have resulted in the country’s gross domestic product (GDP) tripling in the last 10 years, accompanied by a similar increase of the minimum wage. Among the many other improvements are increased education and the improvement of gender equality, as the new constitution requires all political parties to ensure half of the people seeking to be elected are women.

Supreme Master Ching Hai’s letter to His Excellency is above.
