Climate Leaders Positive That Lowering Emissions Can Be Done

By News Team

Eminent climate and sustainability experts have urged world leaders to act now to keep global temperatures well below the 2°C goal set by the Paris Climate Accord. In their article published in the prominent journal Nature, the experts led by Christiana Figueres, Executive Secretary of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change, are very clear that the only way to avert dangerous climate impacts is for greenhouse gas emissions to begin falling by 2020. Ms. Figueres and her colleagues are positive that it can be done, stating, “Lowering emissions globally is a monumental task, but research tells us that it is necessary, desirable and achievable.” We are truly grateful to all climate experts and scientists for sharing vital information to help us understand the urgency of saving our planet. We pray that all world citizens heed their calls to action and that all realize that halting climate change is possible through the adoption of the vegan diet.
