The Supreme Master Ching Hai

During the winter of 2012-13, responding to Supreme Master Ching Hai’s loving instruction to help the less fortunate during the cold weather, our Slovenian Association members purchased winter necessities for residents of local shelters with €1000 provided by Master and an additional €500 from the Slovenian Center. We were fortunate to be able to deliver large quantities of warm clothing to our homeless friends just before heavy snowfall and freezing temperatures began.
After talking with staff members at homeless shelters in Ljubljana and Maribor, we bought all the items in stock at several clothing stores. We also contributed €500 to the enthusiastic and dedicated Catholic charitable organization, Vincenijeve Zvezde Dobrote (St. Vincent’s Stars of Goodness). Their group of young volunteers bought large quantities of new shoes at greatly discounted prices. Thus, we all worked in perfect unison to provide basic necessities such as warm shoes, jackets, socks, trousers, shirts, gloves, caps and undergarments for our brethren in need.
