Love In Action

Master is always deeply concerned when disasters occur in any part of the world. Upon hearing news of such events, She immediately provides financial assistance and sends relief teams. Through such efforts, Her unconditional love and support are conveyed to those affected, thus reducing their suffering while helping them to rebuild their lives.

In recognition of the selfless actions of governments, organizations and relief workers around the globe, Master expresses Her gratitude as follows: "Thank you, all the international help that brings care and necessities to afflicted victims. Thank you all the relief workers for taking time and forsaking your own comfort, even traveling great distance on unfavorable roads and conditions to bring love and assistance to people in a time of need. May Heaven bless you abundantly for your generosity and noble sacrifice."

    Warmth for Ananda Marga Monks in India

    Ananda Marga is a spiritual group with many branches around the world. It operates the non-governmental organization Ananda Marga Universal Relief Team (AMURT), which serves humanity by providing educational and medical services and giving needed items to disadvantaged people. In addition, the group teaches meditation and encourages vegetarianism.

    Out of compassionate concern for the monks during the cold winter season of 2012 to 2013, Supreme Master Ching Hai contributed US$22,400 and asked a team of our Association members to purchase and distribute warm clothing, sleeping bags, blankets and shawls to the Ananda Marga monks in India. Our Association members from Korea formed a relief team and also contributed US$1,344.

    To help the monks in his group, we informed Ananda Marga monk Acarya Shubhacintaananda Avadhuta, who works in Korea and is Chairman of East Asia Affairs, Environmental Society of Anandamarga. We explained to him that we wished to provide the monks with warm clothing and blankets, and he accepted our request as a blessing from God. Thus, we traveled to India with him and distributed these and other items.

    After over 1,000 items, including sleeping bags, orange-colored jackets, half jackets, and shawls were shared with the Ananda Marga monks, they were extremely delighted and thankful and regarded the distribution project as a gift from God! Also, the monk responsible for public relations asked that we send him a copy of a book of Supreme Master Ching Hai’s spiritual teachings.

    We wish the members of Ananda Marga much warmth and love.
