Love In Action

Master is always deeply concerned when disasters occur in any part of the world. Upon hearing news of such events, She immediately provides financial assistance and sends relief teams. Through such efforts, Her unconditional love and support are conveyed to those affected, thus reducing their suffering while helping them to rebuild their lives.

In recognition of the selfless actions of governments, organizations and relief workers around the globe, Master expresses Her gratitude as follows: "Thank you, all the international help that brings care and necessities to afflicted victims. Thank you all the relief workers for taking time and forsaking your own comfort, even traveling great distance on unfavorable roads and conditions to bring love and assistance to people in a time of need. May Heaven bless you abundantly for your generosity and noble sacrifice."

Supporting Stray Dog Shelters in Yunnan, China

By Yunnan Relief Team, China (Originally in Chinese)

Following Master’s loving example of caring for all our co-inhabitants, animals and humans alike, our Association members from Yunnan province, China gave assistance to five animal rescue shelters, including one which housed 100 stray dogs recently rescued from slaughter. Our Association members contributed a total of CNY 30,000 to assist the shelters in caring for our animal friends.

On October 27, 2015, our Yunnan Association members made a special trip to visit a group of new settlers in the Protecting Life Nursery, a stray dog shelter on Bijiguan, Western Hills. These stray dogs were saved a few months ago by an animal rescue team in Shilin County, Yunnan when they were on their way to be slaughtered for a dog meat festival. About 100 dogs survived and were brought to a veterinary hospital as they were in poor condition. Many hospitals kindly offered to treat the dogs with discounted fees. While being treated, some of the rescuers stayed with the dogs day and night during their recovery, and our Yunnan Association members also provided financial contributions to assist. On October 28, our Association members bought some medicine from the veterinary hospital at a discounted price offered by the vet for 40 male dogs who had surgery. At the Protecting Life Nursery in Bijiguan, Western Hills, these dogs who luckily escaped have now finally found a sweet home.

Also on October 28, we invited the caretakers of five animal shelters to dine in a vegan buffet and, according to their needs, we purchased vegan food, vegetable oil and anti-inflammatory and antipruritic medicine. We distributed the supplies to each shelter, which included Protecting Life Nursery, as well as CheJiaBi Stray Dog Shelter, Foster Mother Stray Dogs Home, Auntie Kang’s Stray Dog Shelter, and Ms. Dai Rescue Center for stray dogs and cats in Wangdaqiao community.

We pray that all our animal co-inhabitants may soon live in peace, in a world where they are respected as the loving beings they are, who bring light and happiness to our lives. We also thank all the individuals – veterinarians, rescue teams and caretakers at shelters – working toward this vision.
