Love In Action

Master is always deeply concerned when disasters occur in any part of the world. Upon hearing news of such events, She immediately provides financial assistance and sends relief teams. Through such efforts, Her unconditional love and support are conveyed to those affected, thus reducing their suffering while helping them to rebuild their lives.

In recognition of the selfless actions of governments, organizations and relief workers around the globe, Master expresses Her gratitude as follows: "Thank you, all the international help that brings care and necessities to afflicted victims. Thank you all the relief workers for taking time and forsaking your own comfort, even traveling great distance on unfavorable roads and conditions to bring love and assistance to people in a time of need. May Heaven bless you abundantly for your generosity and noble sacrifice."

Loving Aid for an Animal Sanctuary and Shelters in Yunnan Province, China

By Yunnan Province, China News Team (Originally in Chinese)

Nestled in the mountains of Chengjiang County, Yunnan Province, Mount Liangwang Life Protection Park is a 15,000-square-meter sanctuary for 30 race horses and endangered colts, 40 cows, several chickens and a male deer. Before founding the Park in September 2014, its manager, Mr. Ao Ma, had an experience that opened up the compassion in his heart. He had purchased over 20 cows to be served as food at his restaurant. However, when he was about to have the cows slaughtered, he noticed the sad, innocent looks in their eyes, felt the pain in their hearts, and vowed that he would rather have his own flesh eaten than kill the animals. From then on, the cows have lived freely at his Life Protection Park.

Afterwards, Mr. Ao opened two vegan restaurants at which he offers free meals to monks, nuns and those in need.

In July 2014 and March 2015, following Supreme Master Ching Hai’s loving example of always helping our animal friends, our Association members from Yunnan Province contributed a total of RMB 40,000 to the Life Protection Park in support of Mr. Ao’s benevolent mission.

During the last week of March 2015, our Yunnan Province Association members also provided aid to three animal shelters in Yunnan. At Auntie Kang’s Stray Dog Shelter, we learned that a new rice cooker was needed to prepare nutritious meals for the canines, and that some of the Shelter’s kennels needed new roofing tiles. Our Yunnan Province Association members then bought two rice cookers, 60 bags of rice and 30 bottles of vegetable oil for the facility. We also purchased 70 tiles to mend the kennels’ roofs. In addition, we contributed two rice cookers, 20 bags of rice and 10 bottles of oil each to dog shelters in Chejiabi Village and Bijiguan Village.

May all of our precious animal friends lead happy, healthy lives.
