The Supreme Master Ching Hai

In response to Supreme Master Ching Hai’s caring instruction to assist the refugees, our Australian relief team member, with US$7,400 in contributions from our Center’s in China, Ireland, Singapore and the United Kingdom, traveled to Lebanon and was able to provide some assistance to the Syrian refugees in a camp in the city of Tripoli from November 26 to December 3, 2015.
As the living conditions in that camp are very basic, with some refugees staying under trees, while others are living in huts made from plastic tarps, he purchased supplies with the fund provided by our Centers and helped to construct 12 large tents for families in need. To assist the refugees in staying warm in the dropping temperatures, a total of 200 pairs of shoes for children and adults and 200 blankets were distributed.
In addition, he rented an apartment close to the camp and invited some of the refugee families over for vegan meals. He explained the benefits of the plant-based diet, which resulted in many agreeing to switch to this compassionate lifestyle. Also, he introduced Supreme Master Ching Hai’s teaching to them and showed them the videos from the recent international gathering in Europe, in which Master expressed Her deep concerns for the refugees’ situation and Her effort to help. Everyone was very touched.
Through assisting the people in need, he felt elevated and was grateful to Allah for the chance to experience the beauty, nobility and the humility of the Syrian refugees in Lebanon.
