Love In Action

Master is always deeply concerned when disasters occur in any part of the world. Upon hearing news of such events, She immediately provides financial assistance and sends relief teams. Through such efforts, Her unconditional love and support are conveyed to those affected, thus reducing their suffering while helping them to rebuild their lives.

In recognition of the selfless actions of governments, organizations and relief workers around the globe, Master expresses Her gratitude as follows: "Thank you, all the international help that brings care and necessities to afflicted victims. Thank you all the relief workers for taking time and forsaking your own comfort, even traveling great distance on unfavorable roads and conditions to bring love and assistance to people in a time of need. May Heaven bless you abundantly for your generosity and noble sacrifice."

Master’s Blessing Comforts the Hearts of Flood Victims in Hubei Province, China

By Hubei Province, China News Group, China (Originally in Chinese)

Continuous, heavy rainfall from the end of June to the middle of July 2016 led to the overflowing of many rivers and lakes in China, resulting in 186 lives reported lost and 45 missing. Thirty-two million people were affected in 26 provinces. Hubei Province was one of the worst-hit areas. There were approximately 10.9 million people affected, with 47 lives lost and 10 missing. In addition, about 45,600 houses collapsed or were severely damaged. Roads, bridges and railways were also destroyed by the floods, disrupting traffic and causing severe financial loss.

On July 1, after Hubei was hit by more heavy rainfall, our local Association members followed Master’s loving instruction and started a disaster relief effort. Our members from Wuhan City, Hubei Province, formed a relief team. On the morning of July 4, we drove to the hardest-hit counties, including Qichun, Macheng, and Hongan. We witnessed the devastation in the disaster areas, where many houses were destroyed and bridges were damaged.

Later, on July 4, we first visited the government relief operation office and the shelter for the displaced people in Qichun County. We learned there was enough food, drink, and clothing supplied by the government. What the victims needed was financial assistance. Therefore, we contributed funds and handed out approximately CNY 10,000 to those in need. That same evening, we drove to a second hard-hit area, Macheng County.

On July 5, with God’s guidance, we went to Yangjiamiao Village, Fuzihe Town, where we visited and gave financial assistance to the people whose houses were damaged and who could not take care of themselves due to sickness. We also provided monetary aid to the elderly people.

Next, we headed to Liujiadayuan Village, Fuzihe Town, a remote, mountainous town, where the village secretary, Mr. Lu, introduced us to six people who were on social welfare. They were happy to receive CNY 500 each. The secretary was very touched, commenting that they had not seen these kinds of good deeds before in the mountains, and that we had positive energy. We thank Master for this opportunity to help others.

We then went to Liushuping Village, where the village chief took us to the victims having the most difficulties. We gave each of them CNY 500. Later, we stopped by Beimen Village and gave each of the people in need CNY 500. We traveled to Hongan County in the evening.

On July 6, we visited two affected towns in Hongan County. Our first stop was the Jingang Village, Qiliping Town, where we contributed a total of CNY 5,000 to those who were sick or displaced as well as to the senior citizens. Our second stop was Fangyuan Village, Qiliping Town, where we contributed financial assistance to the vegetarian Buddhists, an elderly couple that was suffering from an illness, and other elderly individuals who had had strokes or were displaced. Finally, we came to Liulinhe Village in Qiliping Town to carry out more relief efforts. All of our relief team members felt the love of God. One Association member said that he felt a strong emotional current in his heart, and was grateful for God’s blessing. For the relief effort, we spent CNY 40,800 (US$6,112) contributed by local Association members.

Throughout the relief operation, we felt Master’s special blessing, which allowed the work to be carried out smoothly. Our deep gratitude to Master for giving us the opportunity to share Her divine love with those in need.
