Master is always deeply concerned when disasters occur in any part of the world. Upon hearing news of such events, She immediately provides financial assistance and sends relief teams. Through such efforts, Her unconditional love and support are conveyed to those affected, thus reducing their suffering while helping them to rebuild their lives.

In recognition of the selfless actions of governments, organizations and relief workers around the globe, Master expresses Her gratitude as follows: "Thank you, all the international help that brings care and necessities to afflicted victims. Thank you all the relief workers for taking time and forsaking your own comfort, even traveling great distance on unfavorable roads and conditions to bring love and assistance to people in a time of need.     Helping Storm-Affected Residents in Yunnan Province, China

    At the end of June and early July 2013, severe storms in Yanjin County, Zhaotong City in Yunnan Province, China caused mountain flooding and mud and rock slides. Many towns were affected by the disaster and approximately five lives were lost, five people were injured and two were missing. Some houses were also buried.

    As soon as receiving Master’s instruction to provide disaster relief, along with RMB 57,483 She provided, our Yunnan Association members purchased 400 comforters, 600 mosquito nets and 400 flannel blankets, based on the request of Yanjin Civil Affairs Bureau. The supplies were shipped to the disaster-stricken area in Yanjin County on July 13. The following day, filled with God’s love, we visited 86 affected families in Dunhou Village, 114 families in Niuzhai Town and two retirement homes to distribute relief items in the company of county and township government leaders. We also offered RMB 3,100 to three seriously-affected families. The recipients were moved to tears. Finally we went to the Zhonghe retirement home and contributed two wheelchairs and other necessities to help senior citizens with disabilities and those who were ill. We also provided several needed pieces of medical equipment for senior citizen health care to a clinic. In addition, we shared Alternative Living flyers on the benefits of a vegan lifestyle with the local people.

    During the disaster relief period, the staff from the Civil Affairs Bureau arranged vegan meals and dined with us. They expressed gratefulness for the relief assistance and publicized the efforts on the Yanjin website, County TV Station, and Zhaotong TV Station. They also expressed their sincere wishes that the positive loving energy will flourish and the society would become more harmonious and beautiful.
