The Supreme Master Ching Hai

With the arrival of the summer rainy season in Formosa, many homeless people urgently needed extra summer clothes, as their clothes often got wet due to the unpredictable rain. On June 6, 2016 following Master’s loving instructions to always help those in need, our Taipei Association members donated more than 10 boxes of clothes and 10 boxes of hats, and delivered them to the New Taipei City Volunteer Association office in Banqiao District, where volunteers will help distribute them to homeless people.
Our team also provided copies of The Supreme Master Ching Hai News Magazine, vegan recipes, and Master’s book From Crisis to Peace – The Organic Vegan Way is the Answer for our homeless friends to read when they come to the office. Supervisor Lin Li-Li from the Volunteer Association accepted the gifts. She expressed her gratitude to our Association for our contributions over the years that help homeless people cope with difficult times, and for assisting the Volunteer Association in serving the disadvantaged people.
On June 8, the New Taipei City Volunteer Association and the New Taipei City Homeless Outreach Volunteer Center jointly held an event in Banqiao called “Mid-Summer Gathering on the Streets,” with over 200 homeless people participating.
On the same day, our Taipei Association members were invited to the site where the summer clothes we had already contributed were being distributed. We arrived early to help choose the right size of tops, shorts, and long pants, as well as the colors and styles, for our homeless friends after asking them for their preferences. Then they went to the “Love Ocean” mobile shower, a specially designed truck of our Association, to take a shower and change clothes, patiently waiting in the long queue. After showering and dressing, our homeless friends seemed very happy and smiled brightly.
The Deputy Mayor of New Taipei City, the Honorable Dr. Hou You-yi, and the Chairman of New Taipei City Volunteer Association, Mr. Lu Li-Min, expressed their gratitude to our Association for the contributions and help we have provided to the homeless people over the years. On behalf of the Volunteer Association, Deputy Mayor Dr. Hou You-yi, presented our Association with a Certificate of Appreciation. In return, our Association gave the Deputy Mayor, and the Chief of the Social Welfare Department, Dr. Chang Ching-Li several of Supreme Master Ching Hai’s publications, including Aphorisms – Book Two, as well as The Real Love DVDs.
May our homeless friends in Formosa, and all those who are living without homes, soon find permanent, warm, secure and loving residences in which to stay.
