Love In Action

Master is always deeply concerned when disasters occur in any part of the world. Upon hearing news of such events, She immediately provides financial assistance and sends relief teams. Through such efforts, Her unconditional love and support are conveyed to those affected, thus reducing their suffering while helping them to rebuild their lives.

In recognition of the selfless actions of governments, organizations and relief workers around the globe, Master expresses Her gratitude as follows: "Thank you, all the international help that brings care and necessities to afflicted victims. Thank you all the relief workers for taking time and forsaking your own comfort, even traveling great distance on unfavorable roads and conditions to bring love and assistance to people in a time of need. May Heaven bless you abundantly for your generosity and noble sacrifice."

    God’s Love Showers Aceh Land, Indonesia

    A magnitude 6.5 earthquake hit Aceh early in the morning of December 7, 2016, destroying buildings in Pidie Jaya Regency, Indonesia. The tremor took at least 100 lives including young children, seriously injured 857 and forced nearly 84,000 people to move to shelters, according to Indonesia’s Disaster Management and Mitigation Agency.

    Deeply concerned about the affected people, and following Master’s loving instruction to render aid, our Medan Association members contributed IDR 135,805,000 (US$10,100), and on December 10, sent a relief team to the city of Banda Aceh. After coordinating with Red Cross Indonesia, we purchased the requested relief items including mineral water, sarongs, vegan biscuits, vegan instant drinks, stationery, toiletries, socks, mosquito nets, medicines and baby diapers.

    On December 12, after traveling for four hours, our team arrived at Pidie Jaya Regency, the most-affected area, to distribute supplies. We were met by smiles and hospitality wherever we went. At every emergency post we visited, there were medical teams from the local government. The children loved the candy we shared with them, and their laughter made us forget about our tiredness. At the end of the day, we finished distributing the relief items to 23 emergency posts and returned to Banda Aceh.

    Our relief team members are grateful to Master for Her boundless love and blessings, which allowed the operation to complete smoothly. May all natural disasters such as these cease, as more people transition to the compassionate and peaceful vegan lifestyle.
