Report by Nepal Relief Team (Originally in Nepali)
Following Master’s loving example of assisting those in need, from November 28 to December 12, 2015, our Association members from Nepal formed a relief team and traveled to different parts of the country distributing warm blankets and clothing to wandering monks, and to those who are disadvantaged this winter season.
In Mahankal Village and Pashupatinath Temple, Kathmandu, we distributed 200 blankets, hats and socks to the homeless, those living with a physical disability and the wandering monks residing in the surrounding areas. In the remote villages of Rolpa District, we contributed 200 blankets and six baby blankets to the local health post. Health posts have been set up by government agencies or NGOs in rural areas of Nepal to provide temporary, basic health services to those without access to hospitals. The local people were extremely happy to see that we cared about them so much. We also distributed more supplies on the streets to people in need.
Our last stop was Shivaraj Municipality in Kapilvastu District, where we distributed 300 sarongs, 502 bags of rice and 771 blankets to the economically deprived and socially underprivileged people.
May Heaven bless all those in need with a future of abundance and happiness.
