The Supreme Master Ching Hai

With compassionate concern for the homeless, especially during winter, Supreme Master Ching Hai requested our local Association members to help provide warmth and benevolently contributed €7,650 in winter relief aid for the street residents of Austria’s cities in December 2012. Our Association members from the Vienna Center also assisted with an additional €639.
The funds were shared with social-welfare organizations in Vienna, Salzburg, Klagenfurt and other Austrian cities to help the homeless through the cold winter months. The groups were chosen for their knowledge of local conditions and commitment to assisting those most in need.
In Vienna contributions were given to the charities Gruft and Caritas Wien, which used the funds to provide warm, durable sleeping bags and vegan meals to 52 homeless people. On the coldest nights of the month, city workers distributed the sleeping bags to those in need. Blankets and warm clothing were also purchased and distributed.
Supreme Master Ching Hai’s boundless love and compassion for humanity are reminders for us all to be more open and attentive to others’ needs and to follow our own initiative in offering kindness, care and support to our fellow beings.
