Helping Clean Route 119 in Hsihu, Formosa

By Formosa News Group (Originally in Chinese)

For the upcoming Chinese Lunar Year in Golden Year 13 (2016), people cleaned up and redecorated their households in Formosa. Also, in the spirit of the New Year, and to ensure that the storm drains do not get clogged, members of The Supreme Master Ching Hai International Association from many Centers headed to Route 119 in Hsihu Township, Miaoli County on January 17, Golden Year 13 (2016). We cleaned the drainage ditches on Route 119, as they were filled with debris and fallen leaves due to recent heavy rains.

Starting from near Hsihu Township Office, our Association members wearing rain coats worked together to clean up the ditches as the heavy rainfall stopped briefly and was replaced by drizzling skies. At last, Route 119 was once again safe and clean. Neighborhood Chief Hsu, representing the Hudong Village Chief, came by car and expressed his gratitude to our Association members along the road. Route 119 is the only road leading to Hsihu Ashram, thus ensuring the safety on Route 119 ensures the safety of both the villagers as well as our fellow Association members. After the cleaning was completed, we rejoiced and returned to the Ashram to continue meditation, as it was a day for group meditation in the Hsihu Ashram.
