The Supreme Master Ching Hai

In the vast starry sky, the everlasting Moon has been quietly watching and protecting humans. The pure moonlight often stirs up nostalgic sentiment in the hearts of the wanderers. In many Asian countries, during the Moon Festival or Mid-Autumn Festival, families and friends gather together to appreciate the beautiful full Moon and enjoy moon cakes and grapefruit and pay respect to the selfless service the Moon has been offering to us.
On October 3, 2009, while celebrating the Moon Festival with our Association members, Supreme Master Ching Hai told us that people like the round Moon so much because it is like our perfection. Master also mentioned that apart from watching the outside Moon, we can also see the moon inside. Sometimes in our meditation, we can see the moon. When we reach a certain spiritual level through meditation, we can go up and see the moon. We are deeply grateful for the constant guidance from Master on our spiritual journey. We also thank the Moon for showing her unique beauty in this world and comforting our hearts.
We pray for eternal happiness and peace in the world, fulfilling the joyful vision in an Aulacese song Master taught us in that Moon Festival gathering:
Moon Festival is here,
We’re holding hands to dance together,
Under the yellow moon.
Joyfully we sing and we dance and we have fun.
We are circling with each other,
Like brothers and sisters, very united,
As if we are a chain of humans.
Be joyful, be joyful,
and the Moon is also joyful with us.
