The Supreme Master Ching Hai

On December 22 and 29, 2014, our Los Angeles Center Association members provided nutritious homemade vegan food and drinks and much-needed winter supplies to our homeless friends in the impoverished area of Skid Row in Los Angeles, California, USA. Our efforts were in response to Supreme Master Ching Hai’s caring instruction to always help the disadvantaged, especially during the winter season.
Some of the recipients repeatedly thanked us, while others volunteered to help manage the queue and unload boxes. Overall, about 6,600 items including socks, knit hats, blankets, jackets, hoodies, toothpaste and toothbrushes were given to men, women and children. Many people expressed interest in learning more about Supreme Master Ching Hai, and one gentleman, a five-year vegan, was very appreciative of the food as vegan meals are not always available at shelters.
2014 was the third year that our Los Angeles Association members organized a winter supply distribution. We are grateful for Master’s guidance and loving reminder to help our neighbors in need.
