Heeding Supreme Master Ching Hai’s compassionate request to help the less fortunate stay warm in winter, on January 4, 2013 our Colorado Association members purchased a supply of warm winter goods for US$4,915.17, which was reimbursed by Master’s caring contribution. The items were supplied to the Colorado Coalition for the Homeless in Denver, Colorado, USA, which has been helping improve the health, well-being and stability of local homeless individuals for approximately 25 years.
After contacting the organization to determine their needs, our team purchased toothpaste, shampoo, soap, warm socks, underwear and diapers and delivered the items to the Denver Rescue Mission, which accepts contributions on behalf of the Coalition. Organic apples were provided for the staff.
In addition, plush twin blankets were delivered directly to the Coalition, and the staff person who received the gifts said, “Your blankets will keep many poor and needy men, women, and children, warm! Thanks again for your kindness and compassion.”
Master, Thank You for Your loving care for all beings, especially during the cold winter months.
